My Passion for Motocross

Soaring through the air and feeling freedom, adrenaline, lightness, and excitement all until the wheels hit the ground, the shock absorbs the impact and BAM! That felt like a lifetime but only lasted for about 2 seconds. Reality hits me hard and I realize that I’m in a race and fighting for first place. I slow down before the corner, downshift, take the outer rut, and slip the clutch to shoot out of the corner. With the bike revved all the way I pull past the other rider as I shift into third gear. The soft brown dirt sprays from the wheel and with the bike revved all the way, I scream past the audience. I'm in first place as i pass the white and black checkered flag.

I chose these pictures because they both show me and they
relate to what i wrote. The top picture is of me and 2 friends who
i usually I go riding with (2 of them are not in the picture) and that
picture was taken at our farm in Washington.

I chose this song because first of all it's one of my favorites.
Also, I usually get pumped to this song before i go ride and
sometimes listen to it when I'm riding.

What I Carry

The clouds turned pink as the sun set towards the horizon above the Colombia River. My jet ski barely skimmed the choppy warm waters as I cruised down the river. The warm water splashed my face as I headed towards the beach. The river is a mirror. It reflected the sky and sun as it set lower, and lower. The last rays beamed at my eyes making it hard to see. The cool breeze whipped at my body sending a cold chill down my spine. It was thrilling and exciting to be out on the water. The fresh scent of the water, the surrounding landscape, and the beautiful sunset, all gave me the sense of belonging and that I love this place. This is where I want to be, it’s what I love doing and it’s where my passion lies.

I chose this picture because this is my jet ski
and it has a connection to what i wrote since this
was the jet ski I rode on at that time.

I couldn't find a song that would directly relate to
what i wrote so I just picked one of my favorite songs.
